Riley Parrish

Riley Parrish is a graduate student whose interests center on sport science, athlete monitoring, and human performance. She has gained experience through internships with the Korey Stringer Institute at the University of Connecticut, the University of Wisconsin–Madison Olympic Strength and Conditioning program, and sport science support roles with collegiate athletics. Her research interests include wearable technology, GPS tracking, training load monitoring, recovery and fatigue, and the validity and reliability of performance assessment tools. She is particularly interested in how external workload measures interact with internal responses to training, and how these combined indicators can be used to better understand athlete readiness, fatigue, and resilience. Riley is also interested in how physiological states such as recovery and fatigue may relate to cognitive and motor performance outcomes in sport. Outside of research, she enjoys strength training, running, and exploring new ways to bridge the gap between science and practice.
